KULJIT SINGH BUTALIA

Kuljit Singh Butalia started his bookselling business in 1948 and alongside continued to pursue his interest in art. By 1964 his love of art & artists prompted him to establish Gita Art Gallery.
He supported many artists from all parts of India by exhibiting their works. Now he operates Gita Art Gallery from Sadhna Enclave, New Delhi. One of the pioneers in the art business, the gallery has a history of association with leading artists of India and is one of the most reputed art galleries of India.
Mr. Butalia believes that one’s capacity for creative pursuit can be sustained and nourished via expanding horizons, constant renewal, and progression of thought. At the age of 92, he continues to passionately explore the world of art.
